It must have one hefty price tag. Whenever I look at systems on Alienware they end up being like $8k.
ReplyDeleteI'd take the Windows 7 upgrade if I were you, it's AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you're going to LOVE the Core i7. I have that and 12GB as well and Eve runs like butter! It's gorgeous! I don't have the SLI setup though, so you're going to be loving multiple clients.
Excellent - cannot wait. I run dual clients right now, but I have to reduce the graphics settings to do so. Looking forward to having both instances running in all their glory...
ReplyDeleteI would say... yes, nice hardware. But, in all honesty, Alienware is expensive, not because it is any better hardware than other places, but because of the massive hype around everything Alienware.
ReplyDeleteAlienIce? And the purple glow in the dark keyboard and chassis is another marketing gimmis, And since it 'GLOWED' in the dark from your powersupply fire, you didn't need the gimmic anyways.
Also, EVE or any game for that matter will NEVER need anywhere near that much horse power. 12 gigs of RAM? Why?
I love hardware like the rest of em... but AlienHyper® is too hyped.
